I can't believe we will be 37 weeks and full term tomorrow! I'm so ready for this little girl to get here. I went to the doctor on Friday and she estimated her at 5 1/2- 6 lbs. We also did a short ultrasound and her head is definitely in the down position. Hopefully she will decide to make her appearance into this world sooner rather than later! We ended up in labor and delivery last week because I was having contractions every 10 minutes, but it turned out I was just dehydrated. But they did tell us that we are 1cm dilated and 90% effaced. So hopefully that means she will be here before her Nov 8 due date, but who knows!

Adventures in Babysitting

We finally sold our house and bought a new house. Within three weeks we sold our house, bought a new house and moved in. Talk about stress! And of course we had to move on the hottest day of the year in August. But I'm happy to say that we are settled and could not be happier about the move!

24 Weeks = 6 Months.... REALLY???

I can't believe we hit the 6 month mark!!! 24 weeks today and boy do I feel it! Brooklynn has become a VERY active little baby. She loves to move around in there and throw a bunch of kicks and punches! I wouldn't have it any other way though. It is so amazing -feeling her move and kick. I'm thinking we are going to have a little busy body on our hands. She has also decided that sitting as low as she can is the best idea ever. I am getting quite a few kicks in the bladder. So I visit the bathroom a work on pretty much an hourly basis. I know, I'm sure this is only going to get worse, but I just had to mention it. Also, I'm over this heatwave in case anyone was wondering! I swollen, hot, sweaty and miserable by the end of the day. I now understand all the sympathetic looks being thrown my way. Yes, it sucks, but oh well, its a little late to do anything about it now! :) I go to the OB on Wednesday and I can't wait to hear her little precious heartbeat again.

I do have a funny story to tell. Silly husband. Last Saturday morning I told him that we were going to register for the baby. He said "huh?" and I said, "you know like we registered when we got married?" and he acted like he understood and then said, "shouldn't we wait until she gets here?" to which I explained that people wouldn't know what to get us at the showers, and then there was a long silence. And then an "Ooooooohhhhh....I get it." He thought we had to go down to the courthouse to get her "registered"!! Gosh I just love my husband, he makes life so funny and enjoyable.

BABY GIRL!!!!!!

In case you haven't heard.... we found out that we are having a GIRL!! I'm so excited that I have a little shopping partner...and Matt is thinking it's time to expand his gun collection. :)

As of today I am exactly 22 weeks pregnant and I'm going to give you an update on what's been happening. The morning sickness ended around week 11 which was such a blessing! I feel like a human being again! I felt her start kicking around week 18 and Matt felt her kick for the very first time last night! My favorite thing in the whole world is to feel her kick. She is such a little miracle and a gift from God. We could not bee more excited.

Now about the ultrasound.... we went in and the ultrasound technician said that everything looks perfect. Then she said, "I know what you are having...would you like to know?" And Matt's response? "Please say it's a boy, please say it's a boy." "You're having a GIRL!" and to that Matt said...."Are you sure there is not a wiener in there somewhere? Even a little one?" Silly husband. He has gotten more used to the idea of having a girl even though he had a minor meltdown when I showed him the bedding I really liked... "But it's PINK!" Yes, husband, that's because she is a girl.

We have also pick out a name for our little sweetie pie... Brooklynn Kaye Brady. Kaye is my Mom's middle name. We couldn't think of a better way to show my mom how much we love and appreciate her than naming our little angel after her.

We are still on track for our due date of November 8. To date I have only gained 12 pounds, which I am pretty excited about. The doctor says that she is growing perfectly and that everything is going perfect!

This story is for Adam and Michelle. We just spend some time with Adam and Michelle this weekend and Matt kept telling them story after story about how I talk and mumble in my sleep on a nightly basis. Well guess what happen!! For two nights in a row, my darling husband has talked in his sleep! Friday night he rolled towards me and said, "I'm going to step outside for a minute." I was really confused because it was 2:00AM, so I asked him if everything was alright and he just rolled over and started snoring. I thought this was maybe a one time occurance.... but no, it happened again last night! He rolled over towards me and started laughing, which is obviously weird because it was once again about 2:00AM. Then he shouted at me, "What's so funny?!? WHAT'S SO FUNNY?!?!" So I freaking shook him awake and told him to stop shouting at me and he had no idea what had just happened. He refused to believe it and rolled over and started snoring. Moral of the story: dont make fun of your wife for talking in her sleep....it will come back to haunt you!!!!

We're Having a Baby!!!

For those of you who haven't heard...We will be expecting our first child sometime in early November! We found out 7 weeks ago that we were pregnant and are finally ready to make the announcement to the world! We are due on November 8 and are excited to be having a fall baby.

We have had two OB appointments already. We got to hear the heart beat when we went yesterday. Can I just say that the sound of our baby's heart beating is the best sound I have ever heard. It took the doctor a little while to find it, but when she did, Matt and I just looked at each other and he exclaimed, "Oh my gosh. There really is a baby in there!" Silly husband, I told you I was a moody, emotional, nauseaed, exhausted mess for a really good reason.

We couldn't be more excited for this new journey we are embarking on. This is such a blessing and a miracle from God. It is so amazing that our baby is approximately the size of a prune and we can already hear his or her little heart beating.

I promise to keep everyone up to date and to start posting pictures when I start looking pregant and not like I ate a few too many banana splits. (Although I have been craving them and pizza non-stop.)

I would also like to thank Matt for being the best husband ever, I have been kind of a pain lately and not a lot of fun. My new bed time is 7:30 and my hormones have a mind of their own. He has taken all of this with a grain of salt and been nothing but a loving, supportive husband. He has cleaned the house, done the laundry, not complained that I haven't cooked dinner in several weeks, let me sleep on the couch right when I get home from work, and listen to me have meltdown after meltdown about feeling like a fat slob. I love him more than life itself and I am so proud to be carrying our first child. Thank you Hubby for all you do! I promise this process will all be worth it in the end! :)

And to our future child: We cannot wait to meet you! We love you so much already and love reading about growth and development every week. Please grow healthy and strong in my belly and I promise to take to take it easy on the spicy food. You are our dream come true and we could not be more excited. Love, Your Mom and Dad

So you're wondering what happened to us right??? Well.......

We had dinner for the last time at Riverside Inn in Ozark.
This was right before Christmas.

They shut Riverside Inn down due to the massive flooding that always happens there. (They were located directly on the Finley River.)

We also celebrated my sister's 26th birthday at Kai... Yum!!!

Hi everyone,

Sorry it's been so long since our last post. We had a great Christmas and New Years. I got two weeks paid off at Christmas, which was absolutely amazing. I started back at work on Jan. 5th. It has been absolutely amazing not having to worry about homework and going to class. I feel more relaxed, like I'm actually enjoying life now. It's great! Matt is working hard and opening lots of new accounts. He's going to be getting an award at Springfield Grocer's upcoming sales banquet at the end of February. I am so proud of him! I have finished my applications to doctoral programs. We should be hearing something late March or early April. The three schools I am applying to are University of Arkansas, Oklahoma State University, and Southern Illinois University- Carbondale. Arkansas is my first choice and we are planning on visiting the campus and meeting with people on Friday, February 13, and hopefully I can charm their socks off! We have planned a romantic Valentine's Day with a one night stay at the Hilton on the Branson Landing. It will be nice to spend more quality time with one another. We hope everyone is doing well. We miss and love everyone.
